25. Formal Translation Let us lie down in our shame, and let our disgrace cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Covenant Judge}, we and our fathers, from our youth until this day, and we have not listened to the voice of the LORD our God. |
25. Dynamic Translation We must fall to the ground in our shame, allowing our deepest dishonor to cover us, because we have sinned against the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Righteous Judge}, both we and our ancestors, from our youth until today. We still have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God. |
