10. Formal Translation Therefore I {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} will hand their wives over to others and their fields to those who will take possession, for from the least to the greatest they all pursue covetous gain, and from prophet to priest they all engage in deception. |
10. Dynamic Translation So I {Yahweh, Enforcing Authority} will hand their wives over to other men and their fields to new owners. From the smallest to the greatest, everyone is driven by profit, and from prophet to priest, all practice deceit. |
