19. Formal Translation Behold, the cry of the daughter of my people is heard from a distant land: “Is the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge} not in Zion? Is her King not there?” And the LORD says, “Why have they provoked Me to anger with their idols and with foreign vanities?” |
19. Dynamic Translation Listen! The cry of the daughter of my people comes from a distant land: “Is the LORD {Yahweh, Protector of Zion} not in Zion? Is her King no longer there?” “Why have they made Me angry with their idols and with their worthless foreign things?” |
