Jeremiah 8:6:1הַקְשַׁ֣בְתִּיhakshavtiI listened attentively
Jeremiah 8:6:2וָֽאֶשְׁמַע֙vaeshmaand I heard Jeremiah 8:6:3לוֹא־כֵ֣ןlokhennot so Jeremiah 8:6:4יְדַבֵּ֔רוּyedaberuthey speak Jeremiah 8:6:5אֵ֣יןenthere is no Jeremiah 8:6:6אִ֗ישׁishman Jeremiah 8:6:7נִחָ֙ם֙nikhamrepenting or relenting Jeremiah 8:6:8עַל־רָ֣עָת֔וֹalraatoover his evil Jeremiah 8:6:9לֵאמֹ֖רlemorsaying Jeremiah 8:6:10מֶ֣הmehwhat Jeremiah 8:6:11עָשִׂ֑יתִיasitihave I done Jeremiah 8:6:12כֻּלָּ֗הkulaall of it or everyone Jeremiah 8:6:13שָׁ֚בshavturning back or turning Jeremiah 8:6:14בִּמְרוּצָ֔םbimreutsamin their running Jeremiah 8:6:15בְּמֵרֻצָתָ֖םbemerutsatamin their rushing Jeremiah 8:6:16כְּס֥וּסkesuslike a horse Jeremiah 8:6:17שׁוֹטֵ֖ףshotefsweeping along or rushing Jeremiah 8:6:18בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃bammilkhamain the battle
6. Formal Translation
I paid attention and listened, but their words are not right; no one repents of his evil and says, “What have I done?” Each one runs after his own path, like a horse charging wildly into battle.
6. Dynamic Translation
I have listened attentively, but no one is speaking honestly; no one regrets what he has done, asking, “What have I done?” Each person simply goes his own course, charging into battle like a horse.
