8. Formal Translation And it happened, as Joshua finished speaking to the people, that the seven priests bearing seven trumpets of ram’s horns passed before the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Commander} and blew the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD proceeded after them. |
8. Dynamic Translation After Joshua spoke to the people, the seven priests carrying seven ram’s horn trumpets walked in front of the LORD {Yahweh, Promise Guardian}, sounded the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant followed behind them. |
