Judges 12:2:1וַיֹּ֤אמֶרvayomerand he said
Judges 12:2:2יִפְתָּח֙yiftakhJephthah Judges 12:2:3אֲלֵיהֶ֔םalehemto them Judges 12:2:4אִ֣ישׁisha man Judges 12:2:5רִ֗יבriva dispute Judges 12:2:6הָיִ֛יתִיhayitiI was Judges 12:2:7אֲנִ֛יaniI Judges 12:2:8וְעַמִּ֥יveamiand my people Judges 12:2:9וּבְנֵֽי־עַמּ֖וֹןuveneamonand the sons of Ammon Judges 12:2:10מְאֹ֑דmeodgreatly Judges 12:2:11וָאֶזְעַ֣קvaezaakand I cried out Judges 12:2:12אֶתְכֶ֔םetkhemyou Judges 12:2:13וְלֹֽא־הוֹשַׁעְתֶּ֥םvelohoshatemand you did not save Judges 12:2:14אוֹתִ֖יotime Judges 12:2:15מִיָּדָֽם׃miyadamfrom their hand
2. Formal Translation
Jephthah said to them, “My people and I were engaged in a serious dispute with the sons of Ammon, and I cried out to you, but you did not deliver me from their hand.”
2. Dynamic Translation
Jephthah answered them, “My people and I were in a fierce struggle with the Ammonites, and when I cried out to you, you did not save me from their hand.”
