| 3. Formal Translation And he returned the one thousand one hundred pieces of silver to his mother. Then his mother said, “Dedicating I have dedicated the silver to the LORD {Yahweh, Sole Recipient} from my hand for my son to make an image and a cast idol. Now I will return it to you.” |
| 3. Dynamic Translation When he returned the one thousand one hundred pieces of silver to his mother, she said, “I have wholly set this silver apart for the LORD {Yahweh, Worship Focus} from my own hand for my son to make both a carved statue and a cast figure. Now I will give it back to you.” |
