1. Formal Translation
In that era there was no king in Israel, and the Danite tribe was looking for its own inheritance to live in, because up to that time no inheritance had been assigned to them among the tribes of Israel.
1. Dynamic Translation
In those days Israel had no king, and the Danites were actively seeking a place to settle, since their share among the tribes of Israel had not yet been secured.
