1. Formal Translation How the Lord {Adonai, Supreme Judge} has set the daughter of Zion under a cloud in His anger. From heaven to earth He has flung down the beauty of Israel, and in the day of His anger He did not call His footstool to mind. |
1. Dynamic Translation Look how the Lord {Adonai, Sovereign Ruler} has put Zion’s daughter under a dark cloud of His anger. He threw Israel’s splendor down from heaven to earth, and on that day of wrath He ignored His footstool. |
