17. Formal Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge} has done what He planned; He has carried out His word that He commanded from days of old. He tore down and did not pity; He made the enemy rejoice over you and lifted up the horn of your adversaries. |
17. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Decider} acted on His own purpose and completed the word He set in place long ago. He destroyed without compassion, made your enemies celebrate, and raised up the strength of those who oppose you. |
