2. Formal Translation “I have loved you,” says the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Keeper}. But you reply, “How have You loved us?” The LORD declares, “Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? Yet I have loved Jacob.” |
2. Dynamic Translation “I have shown love to you,” says the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Protector}. You ask, “In what way have You loved us?” The LORD answers, “Esau was Jacob’s brother—still, I chose to set My love on Jacob.” |
