11. Formal Translation For bribes they deliver verdicts, for fees the priests instruct, and the prophets practice divination for money; yet they lean on the LORD {Yahweh, Just Judge}, declaring, “Is not the LORD in our midst? Disaster will not befall us.” |
11. Dynamic Translation The leaders decide cases for bribes, the priests teach for a price, and the prophets practice divination for money; yet they rely on the LORD and declare, “Is not the LORD {Yahweh, Protecting Presence} among us? No disaster will come upon us.” |
