6. Formal Translation But during all this time I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I came to the king, and at the end of a few days I asked leave from the king. |
6. Dynamic Translation While all this was happening, I was not in Jerusalem, because in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I had gone to see the king, and after some time I requested permission to leave. |
