17. Formal Translation And all the assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and dwelled in the booths. For from the days of Joshua son of Nun the sons of Israel had not done so until that day; and there was very great joy. |
17. Dynamic Translation Everyone who had come back from exile built shelters and lived in them. The Israelites had not kept it this way since the days of Joshua son of Nun, and there was tremendous happiness. |
