Formal Translation And Nehemiah, he who was the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who caused the people to understand, said to all the people, “This day is holy to the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikhem, Day Sanctifier}; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people were weeping when they heard the words of the Torah. |
9. Dynamic Translation Then Nehemiah the governor, along with Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people, said to everyone, “Today is a special day for the LORD your God {Yahweh Eloheikhem, Compassionate Comforter}; do not grieve or cry.” For all the people were weeping as they listened to the words of the Torah. |
