The first concessive pair, yikra'unneni {יִקְרָאֻנְנִי | yiqrāʼunnî} ‘they will call me’ contrasted with wə-lō ʾeʿēneh {וְלֹא אֶעֱנֶה | wə-lō ʾeʿēneh} ‘but I will not answer’, is mirrored by the second pair, Piel yeshaḥarunni {יְשַׁחֲרֻנְנִי | yǝšaḥarunnî} ‘they will seek me early’ with its negation wə-lō yimṣāʼunnî {וְלֹא יִמְצָאֻנְנִי | wə-lō yimṣāʼunnî} ‘but they will not find me’. This ABBA chiastic structure intensifies refusal. The Piel stem heightens earnest seeking at dawn, and the adversative conjunction wə-lō conveys resolute denial.
