Exegesis

A protasis introduced by the conditional particle im {אִם־ | ʾim} and the perfect verb matza’ta {מָ֭צָאתָ | mā-ṣā-ʾtā} ‘you have found’ sets the condition, which leads into an apodosis beginning with the existential clause vav-yesh acharit {וְיֵ֣שׁ אַחֲרִית | wǝ-yēsh ʾā-ḥǎ-rîṯ} ‘and there is a future’ expressing assured outcome.
