A participle clause meitivei tsa‘ad {מֵיטִ֣יבֵי צָ֑עַד | mĕ-ṭî-vê ṣā‘aḏ} ‘ones who go well in step’ is balanced by ve-arba‘ah {וְ֝אַרְבָּעָה | və-ar-ba-‘āh} ‘and four’ with the participle meitivei lachet {מֵיטִ֥יבֵי לָֽכֶת | mĕ-ṭî-bê lā-ḵeṯ} ‘ones who do well in walking’. The recurrence of the piel participle establishes cohesion, while the shift from ‘step’ to ‘walking’ moves from specific gait to general movement. English supplies the existential “There are” and preserves the poetic symmetry without altering the semantic weight of the Hebrew terms.
