Exegesis
A result clause is introduced by the vav consecutive imperfect veyirbu {וְיִרְבּוּ | wə-yirabbû} ‘and they will multiply’, with the construct chain shnot chayyim {שְׁנוֹת חַיִּים | šənôt ḥayyîm} ‘years of life’ as its object and the beneficiary marked by lekha {לְךָ | lə-ḵā} ‘for you’. This protasis–apodosis structure links obedience to the promised reward of longevity.
