6. Formal Translation For I will not again pity the inhabitants of the land, says the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}. But behold, I am giving every man over into the hand of his neighbor and into the hand of his king, and they will strike the land, and I will not deliver {atztzil: rescue, snatch away} them from their hand. |
6. Dynamic Translation I will no longer show mercy to those living in this land, declares the LORD {Yahweh, Justice Giver}. Watch, I am about to hand each person over to the power of his neighbor and his king—they will attack the land, and I will not rescue anyone from them. |
