19. Formal Translation Thus declares the LORD of hosts {Yahweh tzevaot, Commander of Armies}: The fasts in the fourth, fifth, seventh, and tenth months shall become seasons of joy and gladness for the house of Judah, and good appointed times. Therefore love truth and peace. |
19. Dynamic Translation The LORD of hosts {Yahweh tzevaot, Supreme Protector} proclaims that the fasts observed in the fourth, fifth, seventh, and tenth months will turn into days of rejoicing and gladness and into good festivals for the people of Judah. Therefore cherish truth and peace. |
