Building a Relationship with Christ

The Bible tells us that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). This is the foundation of our relationship with Christ. We must believe in Him and accept Him as our Lord and Savior in order to have a relationship with Him.

The Bible also tells us that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). This means that we must read and study the Bible in order to grow in our faith and understanding of God’s Word. We must also pray and talk to God in order to build a relationship with Him.

The Bible also tells us that “we love Him because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). This means that we must accept God’s love for us and respond to it with our own love for Him. We must also be willing to obey His commands and follow His will for our lives.

The Bible also tells us that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means that when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become new creations in Him. We must then live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God and in accordance with His will.

Finally, the Bible tells us that “we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). This means that God has a plan and purpose for our lives and that we must be willing to follow it. We must also be willing to serve Him and others in order to fulfill His will.
