13. Formal Translation No temptation has overtaken you except what is human, but God {Theos, Faithful Protector} is faithful. He will not permit you to be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you may endure it. |
13. Dynamic Translation No trial has come upon you except what is common to people, and God {Theos, Steadfast Guide} is trustworthy. He will not let you be tested beyond what you can handle; instead, with the trial He will open a way out so that you will have the strength to get through it. |
