14. Formal Translation Yet the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God {pneuma Theou, Source of Revelation}, for to him they amount to foolishness, and he lacks the capacity to understand them, since they are spiritually discerned. |
14. Dynamic Translation Nevertheless, someone without the Spirit does not accept what comes from the Spirit of God {pneuma Theou, Revealer of Truth}, for he regards it as sheer nonsense; he is unable to comprehend these matters because they are examined in a spiritual way. |
