22. Formal Translation If someone was called in the Lord {Kyrios, Liberating Master} as a slave, he is the Lord’s freedman; likewise, the one who was free when called is a slave of Christ {Christos, Claiming Lord}. |
22. Dynamic Translation A slave when called in the Lord {Kyrios, Gracious Caller} is now the Lord’s freed person; similarly, one who was free when called is now Christ’s {Christos, Sovereign Master} servant. |
