5. Formal Translation Do not deprive one another, unless perhaps by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer; then come together again, so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. |
5. Dynamic Translation Do not withhold yourselves from each other, except when you both consent for a limited time in order to give attention to prayer. After that, be together again, so that Satan does not exploit your weakness in self-control. |
