12. Formal Translation We should not be like Cain, who was from the evil one and murdered his brother; and for what reason did he murder him? Because his works were evil, but those of his brother were righteous. |
12. Dynamic Translation We must not follow Cain’s path, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. Why did he do it? Because his deeds were evil, while his brother’s were righteous. |
