18. Formal Translation
And King Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the forced labor, and all Israel stoned him with stones, and he died. Then King Rehoboam made a strong effort to mount the chariot to flee to Jerusalem.
18. Dynamic Translation
King Rehoboam sent Adoram, the official in charge of the labor crews, and all Israel stoned him, and he died. King Rehoboam got into the chariot and fled to Jerusalem.
