20. Formal Translation
And it happened when all Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned, they sent and called him to the assembly and made him king over all Israel. None remained loyal to the house of David except the tribe of Judah alone.
20. Dynamic Translation
When all the Israelites heard that Jeroboam had come back, they sent for him and brought him to the gathering, making him king over the entire nation of Israel. Only the tribe of Judah remained loyal to David’s family.
