28. Formal Translation And the king took counsel and made two calves of gold, and he said to them, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Look, your gods, O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.” |
28. Dynamic Translation So the king consulted and made two gold calves. He said to them, “You have been going up to Jerusalem long enough. Here are your gods, Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.” |
