Exegesis

The vav-consecutive vayomer {וַיֹּ֕אמֶר | wayyṓmer} introduces the summons boi {בֹּ֖אִי | bṓ’î}, and the interrogative lamah ze {לָ֣מָּה זֶּ֗ה | lāmmā́h zéh} heightens rhetorical force.
