6. Formal Translation
And it happened, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet coming at the entrance, he said, “Come in, wife of Jeroboam. Why are you disguising yourself? I have been sent to you with a harsh message.”
6. Dynamic Translation
Just as Ahijah heard her footsteps at the doorway, he called, “Come in, wife of Jeroboam! Why this pretense? I have been sent to you with distressing news.”
