| 2. Formal Translation Because I raised you from the dust and made you ruler over My {Yahweh, Sovereign Lord} people Israel, but you walked in the way of Jeroboam and caused My people Israel to sin, provoking Me to anger by their sins. |
| 2. Dynamic Translation I took you from nothing and made you leader of my people Israel. Yet you followed Jeroboam’s way and led my people Israel into sin, making Me {Yahweh, Avenging Judge} angry over their sins. |
