The oath formula chai YHWH Elohekha {חַי־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ | ḥay Yə-hō-wāh ʾĕ-lō-hê-kā} ‘as the LORD your God lives’ asserts truthfulness by divine vitality.
