21. Formal Translation
And Elijah drew near to all the people and said, “How long will you continue limping on two branches? If the LORD God {Yahweh Elohim, Sovereign Ruler} is God, follow Him; but if Baal is god, then follow Him.” Yet the people gave him no reply.
21. Dynamic Translation
Then Elijah came near everyone and asked, “How long will you hesitate between two alternatives? If the LORD God {Yahweh Elohim, Divine Judge} is God, then follow Him; but if Baal is god, then follow Him.” The people remained silent.
