וַיֹּאמֶר֩{va-YO-mer###vah-YOH-mehr###and he said} אֵלִיָּ֨הוּ{e-li-YA-hu###eh-lee-YAA-hoo###Elijah} לָהֶ֜ם{la-HEM###laa-HEHM###to them} תִּפְשׂ֣וּ{tif-SU###tihf-SOO###seize} אֶת־נְבִיאֵ֣י{et-ne-vi-E###eht-neh-vih-EE###(the direct object marker) prophets of} הַבַּ֗עַל{ha-BA-al###hah-BAA-ahl###the Baal} אִ֛ישׁ{ISH###EESH###a man or anyone} אַל־יִמָּלֵ֥ט{al-yim-ma-LET###ahl-yihm-mah-LEET###let him not escape} מֵהֶ֖ם{me-HEM###mee-HEHM###from them} וַֽיִּתְפְּשׂ֑וּם{va-yit-pe-SUM###vah-yiht-peh-SOOM###and they seized them} וַיּוֹרִדֵ֤ם{va-yo-ri-DEM###vah-yoh-rih-DEEM###and he brought them down} אֵלִיָּ֙הוּ֙{e-li-YA-hu###eh-lee-YAA-hoo###Elijah} אֶל־נַ֣חַל{el-NA-khal###ehl-NAH-khahl###to (the) wadi or brook} קִישׁ֔וֹן{ki-SHON###kih-SHOHN###Kishon} וַיִּשְׁחָטֵ֖ם{va-yish-kha-TEM###vah-yihsh-khah-TEEM###and he slaughtered them} שָֽׁם׃{SHAM###SHAAM###there}
