The second vav-consecutive vayomer {וַיֹּ֗אמֶר | wayyōʾmer} frames prophetic speech, and the succession of imperatives ʿălēh {עֲלֵ֨ה | ʿălēh}, ʾêmōr {אֱמֹר | ʾêmōr}, ʾêsôr {אֱסֹ֣ר | ʾêsôr}, and wārēḏ {וָרֵ֔ד | wārēḏ} issues authoritative commands.
