30. Formal Translation So Benaiah came to the tent of the LORD {Yahweh, Sanctuary Dweller} and said to him, “Thus says the king: ‘Come out.’” But he answered, “No, for here I will die.” Benaiah returned to the king with the report, “Thus spoke Joab and thus he replied to me.” |
30. Dynamic Translation Benaiah entered the LORD’s {Yahweh, Sacred Presence} tent and told Joab, “The king orders you to come out!” But Joab replied, “No, I will die right here.” Benaiah went back to the king and reported, “This is what Joab said and how he replied to me.” |
