29. Formal Translation And it was told to King Solomon that Joab had fled to the tent of the LORD {Yahweh, Holy Refuge-Giver}, and behold, he was beside the altar. Then Solomon sent Benaiah son of Jehoiada, saying, “Go, strike him.” |
29. Dynamic Translation King Solomon was told that Joab had fled to the tent of the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}, and that he was there beside the altar; so Solomon sent Benaiah son of Jehoiada and said, “Go, strike him down.” |
