וַיַּחְגְּרוּ֩{va-yakh-ge-RU###vah-yahkh-geh-RUU###and they tied on or girded} שַׂקִּ֨ים{sak-KIM###sahk-KIHM###sackcloths} בְּמָתְנֵיהֶ֜ם{be-mat-ne-HEM###beh-maat-neh-HEHMM###on their waists} וַחֲבָלִ֣ים{va-kha-va-LIM###vah-kha-va-LEEM###and ropes} בְּרָאשֵׁיהֶ֗ם{be-ra-she-HEM###beh-raa-shee-HEHMM###on their heads} וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙{va-ya-VO-u###vah-yaa-VOH-oo###and they came} אֶל־מֶ֣לֶךְ{el-ME-lekh###ehl-MEH-lehkh###to the king of} יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל{yis-ra-EL###yihs-raa-EEL###Israel} וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ{va-yo-mer-RU###vah-yoh-mehr-RUU###and they said} עַבְדְּךָ֧{av-de-KHA###ahv-deh-KHAA###your servant} בֶן־הֲדַ֛ד{ven-ha-DAD###vehn-hah-DAD###Ben-hadad} אָמַ֖ר{a-MAR###aa-MAHR###said} תְּחִֽי־נָ֣א{te-khi-NA###teh-khih-NAA###please, let live} נַפְשִׁ֑י{naf-SHI###nahf-SHEE###my life} וַיֹּ֛אמֶר{va-YO-mer###vah-YOH-mehr###and he said} הַעוֹדֶ֥נּוּ{ha-o-DEN-nu###hah-oh-DEHN-noo###is he still} חַ֖י{KHAI###KHAI###alive} אָחִ֥י{a-KHI###aa-KHEE###my brother} הֽוּא׃{HU###HOO###he}
