The recognition verb vayaker {וַיַּכֵּ֤ר | va-ya-KER} ‘and he recognized’ takes oto {אֹתוֹ֙ | ʾō-to} ‘him’ as its object, with the subject expressed in melek yisrael {מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל | mê-leḵ yi-sra-ʾêl} ‘the king of Israel’.
