The Piel perfect with vav-consecutive wə-ḥippešû {וְחִפְּשׂוּ | wə-ḥippešû} ‘and they will search’ underscores a thorough inquiry into the possessive constructs bêṯeḵā {בֵּיתְךָ | bêṯeḵā} “your house” and bāṯê ’ăḇādeykā {בָּתֵּי עֲבָדֶיךָ | bāṯê ’ăḇādeykā} “the houses of your servants.”
