22. Formal Translation And the other woman said, “No, for my son is the living one, and your son is the dead one.” But this one replied, “No, for your son is the dead one, and my son is the living one.” Thus they spoke before the king. |
22. Dynamic Translation One woman objected, “No! My son is alive and yours is dead.” The other insisted, “No, your son is dead and mine is alive!” And so they presented their case before the king. |
