20. Formal Translation
Those who once disobeyed, when the patience of God {Theos, Longsuffering Judge} was waiting in the days of Noah, while an ark was being constructed, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
20. Dynamic Translation
These people who disobeyed long ago, during the time when God {Theos, Patient Deliverer} was waiting patiently in Noah’s days as the ark was being built, in that vessel only a few—just eight people—were rescued through water.
