2. Formal Translation
Thus says the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Divine Commander}: “I have appointed judgment for what Amalek did to Israel, how he set himself against him on the way as he came up from Egypt.”
2. Dynamic Translation
This is what the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Commander of Armies} says: “I am punishing Amalek for what they did to Israel, for opposing them on the road when they were coming up from Egypt.”
