   and he said the LORD to Samuel do not look at his appearance and at the height of his stature for I have rejected him for not as what or how he sees the human for the human sees to the eyes but the LORD sees to the heart

Exegesis

Each ki {כִּי | kî} clause introduces first the divine rejection (meastihu {מְאַסְתִּ֑יהוּ | ‘I have rejected him’), then the human contrast haadam yirʾēh laenayim {הָאָדָם יִרְאֶה לַעֵינַיִם | hāʾāḏām yirʾēh laʿênayyim} ‘the human sees to the eyes.’
