1 Samuel 18:21:1וַיֹּ֨אמֶרvayomerand he said
1 Samuel 18:21:2שָׁא֜וּלshaulSaul 1 Samuel 18:21:3אֶתְּנֶ֤נָּהetnennaI will give her 1 Samuel 18:21:4לּוֹ֙loto him 1 Samuel 18:21:5וּתְהִי־ל֣וֹutehiloand may she be to him 1 Samuel 18:21:6לְמוֹקֵ֔שׁlemokeshfor a snare 1 Samuel 18:21:7וּתְהִי־ב֖וֹutehivoand may there be in him 1 Samuel 18:21:8יַד־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑יםyadpelishtima hand of Philistines 1 Samuel 18:21:9וַיֹּ֤אמֶרvayomerand he said 1 Samuel 18:21:10שָׁאוּל֙shaulSaul 1 Samuel 18:21:11אֶל־דָּוִ֔דeldavidto David 1 Samuel 18:21:12בִּשְׁתַּ֛יִםbishtayimin two times or a second time 1 Samuel 18:21:13תִּתְחַתֵּ֥ןtitkhattenyou will become a son-in-law or you will marry {into} 1 Samuel 18:21:14בִּ֖יbiwith me or to me 1 Samuel 18:21:15הַיּֽוֹם׃hayomtoday or this day
21. Formal Translation
And Saul said, “I will give her to him so that she shall be a snare to him and the hand of the Philistines shall be against him.” And Saul said to David, “Today you shall become my son-in-law for a second time.”
21. Dynamic Translation
Then Saul said, “I will give her to him as a trap so that the Philistines’ hand may fall on him.” And Saul told David, “Today you may become my son-in-law again.”
