29. Formal Translation
Why do you scorn my sacrifice and my offering, which I commanded for my dwelling? And you honor your sons more than me {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}, to fatten yourselves from the choicest of every offering of Israel for my people.
29. Dynamic Translation
Why do you treat my sacrifice and my offering with contempt, which I ordered for my house? And you give your sons more respect than me {Yahweh, Covenant Enforcer}, making yourselves fat from the best of every offering brought by my people Israel.
