3. Formal Translation The Ashdodites rose early the next day, and behold, Dagon had fallen face down on the ground before the ark of the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Victor}. They took Dagon and returned him to his place. |
3. Dynamic Translation Early the next morning the people of Ashdod discovered Dagon collapsed face down on the ground in front of the LORD’s {Yahweh, Supreme Overcomer} ark. They picked him up and put him back where he belonged. |
