1 Samuel 7:8:1וַיֹּאמְר֤וּvayomruand they said
1 Samuel 7:8:2בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙veneyisraelsons of Israel 1 Samuel 7:8:3אֶל־שְׁמוּאֵ֔לelshemuelto Samuel 1 Samuel 7:8:4אַל־תַּחֲרֵ֣שׁaltakhareshdo not keep silent 1 Samuel 7:8:5מִמֶּ֔נּוּmimmenufrom us 1 Samuel 7:8:6מִמִּזְּעֹ֖קmimmizeokfrom crying out 1 Samuel 7:8:7אֶל־יְהוָ֣הelyahwehto the LORD 1 Samuel 7:8:8אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּelohenuour God 1 Samuel 7:8:9וְיֹשִׁעֵ֖נוּveyoshienuand he may save us 1 Samuel 7:8:10מִיַּ֥דmiyyadfrom the hand of 1 Samuel 7:8:11פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃pelishtimPhilistines
8. Formal Translation
The sons of Israel said to Samuel, “Do not stop crying out to the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Deliverer} for us, so that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.”
8. Dynamic Translation
The people of Israel said to Samuel, “Keep pleading for us to the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Rescuer} so that He may rescue us from the power of the Philistines.”
